The platform provides rich data on workshop outcomes — but most AEs never look at it. This section walks through where to find the data, how to interpret it, and how to translate raw survey responses into a prioritized lead list.
Key Content
After the event, review the workshop infographics at https://workshops.cisco.com/workshop-events/workshop-infographics. Filter by your specific course and group name to see results unique to your event and compare them against benchmark data across all workshops of that type. This comparison helps you understand whether your event over-performed or under-performed against the norm, and where you might focus on improvement next time.
There are four key participation metrics to understand:
Registrations show who and how many people registered, with a target of full event capacity; low registration rates indicate either an under-targeted invite list or weak invitation messaging.
Attendees show who actually showed up — typically around 50% of registrants — and significantly lower attendance suggests either a lack of reminder communication or a scheduling conflict you didn't catch.
Participants show who actually engaged with the hands-on labs (typically around 80% of attendees).
Completions show who finished all the labs (typically around 80% of participants). Each of these metrics tells you something different about engagement and tracking them across multiple events helps you spot patterns in your territory.
The two standard surveys give you the actionable lead data. The Course Assessment Survey captures qualitative feedback on the workshop, proctor, and content — useful for refining future events but not a direct source of leads.
The Product Information Request Survey is where the leads come from, and it should be your primary focus after the event. Categorize the responses into three tiers:
Hot leads are customers who requested a Trial or POV; these need follow-up within 48 hours.
Warm leads who requested more product information should receive follow-up within one week, as should warm leads who expressed interest in broader Cisco solutions.
Cool Leads are equally important as these show that the customer wasn’t interested or didn’t like the product which helps you focus your energy on the priority customers.
Treat these tiers as a clear prioritization framework rather than a vague to-do list — they directly map to how quickly you should act on each lead.
